Nanotech budget for US' DoJ

Wednesday, March 22, 2006

The 2007 NNI Budget provides over $1.2 billion, nearly tripling the annual investment of the first year of the Initiative. I just realized that US Department of Justice got 1 million dollars per year for Nanotechnology budget. This is quite a huge amount.

I think most of the budget would be utilized for patent reform or in answering other intellectual property questions. It is important that an amount of such budget should also be allocated to post-Molecular Nanotechnology (MNT) administration and policies.

It would be terrifying if MNT is discovered without readiness on the legal framework.
