Status of Indonesia's Nanotechnology (1)

The government of Indonesia has not issue a specific national nanotechnology initiative. However, several efforts for development has been conducted privately by the Mochtar Riady Center for Nanotechnology and Bioengineering. Efforts has also been conducted by LIPI, a governmental research agency. The full report (2005) of Indonesia's Nanotech status can be found here.
 
As for the regulatory framework, no nanotech-specific directive is ever issued. All matters related to nanotech will comply with existing laws through either extensive interpretation or analogy.
